Georgia is a Rising Sophomore at North Shore Country Day School in Chicago, IL and has always had a special interest in history. Since she was little, she has devoured book after book about Colonial America, the British Monarchs and the Civil War and has had her parents take her to Mount Vernon, George Washington's home, more times than she can count.
Georgia has been a part of the National Children's Chorus since the age of 7. She has performed with them at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City, Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and has also recorded a Christmas album at Abbey Road Studios in London, UK with the London Symphony Orchestra. Upcoming performances include The Sydney Opera House.
She began “Harmonies of History” to document her curiosities, learn new things, and deepen her interests. For instance, she recently went to Indonesia and played the Gamelan. She wrote a piece about it here (link).
Her hope for “Harmonies of History” is that people who read the posts will be inspired to learn more and research things that interest them. Georgia hopes you enjoy reading through her pieces!
